For your event or wedding, meals can be served in cocktail, buffet or a la carte style. It is recommended serving à la carte only for small gatherings or in events demanding high etiquette and glamour.
The decoration of the tables should help make the service outstanding, there should be space for all the elements that will be placed within each plate.
Guests must be able to see each other’s faces and be finely placed. It must be taken into consideration whether a guest dislikes a particular dish, those on special diets and the ones with allergies or food restrictions. Their needs should be accommodated to ensure an enjoyable dining experience for all.
It is preferable to use round tables for 8 or 10 people, so that guests can look at each other.
Everyone should be served their meals at the same time, we recommend ¨ The Presidential style ¨ for very important guests, where a superior service is in order. This style requires a waiter for each table and meals are served and placed all at the same time.
Not all the guests eat at the same time, having a buffet give guests the chance to serve themselves whenever they feel like as long as the serving lines are open.
With a buffet, guests have the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of dishes, there are normally eight or more different dishes, including a selection of bread, biscuits and crackers. If meals are to be served by the staff the buffet is placed in rectangular tables or Imperial style if guests will serve themselves. It is recommended to have several lines or tables according to the number of guests in order to avoid long lines and make the guests impatient or uncomfortable. This is a very important detail and must be taken in high consideration by the host.
Serving such afterhours meals or snacks will be much appreciated by your guests and will help them sleep more relaxed and pleased for having thought about them until the end!
A wedding cocktail reception party is perfect at noon time and in the early evening. The type of menu is simple, easy-to-eat meals while standing up, although some venues usually place some tables and high chairs so that guests can sit. Drinks are also served while guests are standing.
